This instrument was created by a small-time local builder using materials of very high quality. The case is a remnant from a previous organ, and the huge faade pipes were all originally speaking pipes there is a magnificent Zinc Principal 16 here ready to be reclaimed.
Windchests are first-quality pitman actions. Reed pipes are especially good and in excellent condition. The Pedal Contra Bass is a rare and useful Estey wooden Haskell Bass. There are two beautifully made swell frames with shutters and motors, 94 x 110 with horizontal shutters.
The pipes of the Great Principal Chorus are from a 19th century organ, likely Hutchings or Hook those four ranks are bright and clear, generous original voicing, in excellent condition.
This instrument is an organbuilders dream cache of terrific material for use in rebuilding or expanding an existing organ, or for compiling a new instrument.
Time is short.
